We know very little of Sarah SCOGGIN except she appears to be the 11th child of Isaac and Sarah SCOGGIN. She was born about 1822 In MO as she appears in the 1850 census in the HH of Robert SCOGGIN her presumed brother along with the senior Sarah and two of her sisters. We presume that Issac her father has died by this census.

We find Sarah SCOGGIN in the census:
1850 in the HH of Robert SCOGGIN in Independence Co. ARK with her mother and two sisters.


It does not appear that Sarah moved to TX with her mother in 1853 at least not under the last name of SCOGGIN or at least she was married by that time or by the 1860 census. It would seem a good idea to search the marriage records of TX and ARK between 1840 and 1850. If she lived to the 1880 census her information would be invaluable.
